I’m Kristy, and I was raised in the church, giving my life to the Lord during a transformative summer camp as a young teen. As I continued to grow, the Lord called me into nursing, a career I had never considered. I began nursing school, and out of obedience, I followed. A pivotal moment came shortly after I completed nursing school—after some quiet time with the Lord, He gave me one word: "Bolivia". That word set my course, and just a few months later, I was on my first short term mission trip there. Shortly after, God brought me back to Bolivia for an extraordinary two months living on the side of a mountain—a time I still pinch myself over, as I see how He led me to so much more. God’s calling on my life was bigger than I ever dreamed. And from that moment, I knew I was called to serve wherever He leads, with faith and purpose.
In 2023, the Lord called me away from my nursing career in the hospital, and I stepped into full-time ministry work. Now, between short term mission trips, I live in the United States. I’m deeply involved in my local church—leading youth programs, serving in administrative roles, the community, and caring for families as a nurse at a pro-life clinic. Additionally, I serve as a disaster response team member with Samaritan’s Purse, deploying globally when disasters strike. Through it all, I’m committed to ministering to people of all ages, being a voice for life, hope, and resilience
God’s calling on my life was bigger than I ever dreamed. Since my first mission trip in 2012, over the past nearly 15 years, God has ignited a fire in me to lead short-term missions. As the short-term mission coordinator for A Cup of Water, I prepare and lead teams, guiding them every step—from applications and visas to cultural immersion. God has challenged, trained, and equipped me to bridge the gap between supporters and missionaries. Twelve years ago, I heard God say Bolivia, and today, I have the joy of leading teams around the world to join me in sharing the gospel! So far i’ve done missions in Bolivia, Chile, Thailand, Mexico, Guatemala, and the Dominican Republic (about to be able to add Liberia and Belgium to that!)

Pray with me that Jesus will help me to confidently and humbly serve Him throughout this year. I will never be enough, but Christ is. His disciples weren't enough, but Jesus gave them authority to "raise the dead, heal the sick, cleanse those with leprosy, and drive out demons" (Matthew 10:8).
