Cup of Cold Water Ministries was birthed in 1978 by two ministry workers, Odell and Margaret Kittelson, with a desire to reach the poor and suffering. They were a bit before their time, and their mission board was not thrilled at the prospect of calling meeting physical needs “missions”.
The organization felt the Kittelson’s should funnel their energy elsewhere. The Kittelson’s believed their work to aid impoverished farmers in Bolivia was indeed vital, so they pressed forward, starting their own non-profit to fund the project, calling it Cup of Cold Water Ministries (CCWM).

The project itself was short-lived. However, the creation of Cup of Cold Water Ministries was the endeavor that would end up with lasting results.

Today, CCWM is thrilled to help 42 missionaries around the globe to GO, where God has called them to serve.

We still stand by Odell Kittelson's original founding passion ~
"Proclamation or demonstration?
Telling the Gospel or Living the Gospel?
Evangelism or Social Action?
They go together.
They cannot be separated.
Both! Both! Both"
~
Odell Kittelson Founder of CCWM

If anyone gives a cup of cold water to one of these little ones because he is a disciple, I tell you the truth, he will certainly not lose his reward.
— Matthew 10:42
