This was me a long time go…
I was on an early medical mission trip, back when what I’m about to do now was just a hope.
What do Bolivia, Tijuana, Thailand, Guatemala, the Dominican Republic, and the USA have in common?
They are all places I have served over the years. I was first called to missions back in 2008 while I was in nursing school. Since then, my heart’s desire has been to serve the Lord.
My first mission trip was to Bolivia in 2012, and my last mission trip was to the Dominican Republic this past July. It has taken 15 years to get to this point. 15 years of praying, pleading, and preparing for what happened this past July.
After all the waiting, it has finally happened. Cup of Cold Water Ministries took me on as a full-time missionary.
I’m a missionary!
I loved my job as a bedside nurse, but I gave up my career and paycheck to follow my calling to serve full-time. I took the leap!
What does this mean? It means I am completely reliant on God for all my provisions. YOU are a key part of that. I need prayer warriors, I need funds, and I need a team. This is not a one-person show. I can not go or serve without a team. These newsletters will be a way for me to communicate my needs with my team and a way to keep me accountable to you. You are a vital part of the success of this mission.
No one enjoys talking about finances and it is embarrassing to display my finances publicly. But I need money to pay my housing, taxes, insurances, etc. It’s expensive to live in the States! I need to raise $2,500 a month. I need team members to commit to a set monthly donation for the next year. That could be $5, $10, $25, $50, $100, etc. Your donations will allow me to continue serving God and leading mission trips. I currently have reached 16% of my funding goal. Will you join my team?

Pray with me that Jesus will help me to confidently and humbly serve Him throughout this year. I will never be enough, but Christ is. His disciples weren't enough, but Jesus gave them authority to "raise the dead, heal the sick, cleanse those with leprosy, and drive out demons" (Matthew 10:8).
