ABOUT THE ARTIST:
Miranda Bond and her husband have been friends of the Cup of Cold Water Ministries for about 5 years now. They served as care takers for Pine Ridge for a year, and enjoyed volunteering and assisting in other capacities as well.
Miranda has had a love for art and drawing ever since she was young. She has taken up painting the past couple years and thoroughly enjoys it. At the banquet last year, God impressed upon her to paint the painting you see before you and donate it in order to help the ministry.
ABOUT THE PAINTING
The flags in the background represent the global need to hear the gospel. Some of the countries already have CCWM sponsored missionaries, while others do not.
The man in the foreground represents our need to surrender our lives to God, and go where he has called us to go.
The white flag behind him signifies the “blank canvas” of our lives, to go to whatever mission field God gives us.
The hope is that this painting inspires the viewer to ponder about what mission field God has given them. It can be the stay at home mom reaching out to a neighbor, a teacher reaching out to a student, a missionary going to another country, etc. The possibilities are endless, but each calling is personal. Be open to go where God is calling you. CCWM and the church will be cheering you on!
