Hello everyone! My name is Joanna, and I am a follower of Jesus Christ, and a high school senior at Parkview Christian Academy in Yorkville. Ever since I was little, God has laid missions on my heart as the work I believe He is calling me to. Through Cup of Cold Water Ministries’ Nxt Gen program, I have the opportunity to take part in a mission trip to the Gobi desert of Mongolia. 

While we are there, we would be traveling to a remote village in the Gobi desert where a church once existed, and, partnering with a Mongolian group of students very similar to Nxt Gen, we would be working with the locals to reestablish a church in a village that once had a church, but is now virtually unreached.

The details of the trip are not fully worked out yet, as the trip is not intended to be prepackaged for us to go on; the goal is that we, the students, would help to plan and prepare the trip in order to grow our understanding of missions. I am beyond excited about this opportunity to partner with another local expression of the global church to bring Christ to the unreached, and to get my feet on the ground not only doing missions, but also learning to prepare for missions. 

I would appreciate all prayers and financial support in order to be able to participate in this trip. The cost of the trip is $4000, ($2000 of which is due March 1), which I will be trying to fundraise in the months leading up.
