CCWM missionary Abdiel Corrales, spent his high school years in an orphanage. However, he wasn’t an orphan.

His parents began directing the House of Hope Orphanage in Caranavi, Bolivia 2005. Growing up this way, Abdiel grew to know the sacrifices and gains full-time missionaries experience. His heart for the orphans was homegrown, and by the time he reached adulthood, he couldn’t imagine doing anything besides taking his parents' work and expanding it into his own life. So, thats what he did! He served on a project called FASE2 of the House of Hope Orphanage which included the college years for students graduating.

Then, Abdiel and his wife Josyln recieved an invitation to become the directors of Galilea, the Casa De Esperanza orphanage in the Beni area. They began to pray deeply about this opportunity and although they love the children and the ministry at Fase2, they felt in their hearts that God was calling them to Galilea.

Last November, they informed his parents, the directors of Casa De Esperanza, that they were willing to serve at Galilea but would not leave Fase2 until a capable replacement was found. Over the following months, Galilea received donations to help complete the project and prepare it to function, but they still lacked a leader for Fase2.
God answered by leading them to approach a single young man who grew up involved in Casa De Esperanza. His parents have worked with the ministry for over 20 years, and he is heavily involved in serving the Lord, organizing youth camps, and ministering at the church. When they presented the opportunity, he told them he had been praying for a full-time ministry role and felt this was the answer to his prayers!

Recently, the board of Casa De Esperanza interviewed him and officially accepted him as their replacement.

God has provided so that Josyln and Abdiel can now transition to Galilea!

They will be working there without a salary so that those funds can be used directly to run the orphanage. They have saved back some funds over the months to help us as we embark on this faith journey. However, they now are praying for people who can partner with them financially to help keep them on the field! They need a team to send them.

“We are asking you to join us in monthly partnerships. We have a need to raise about $400 a month for our living expenses. Beyond this, of course, we have much bigger plans to raise support to carry this ministry forward.

We pray you will consider becoming a partner along with us.” - Abdiel
